The Corpse Infantry (コープス 歩兵) is composed of 999 corpses created from military infantry.
About
They are the 999 members of the Japanese Imperial Infantry that was slaughtered by Tao Ching during World War 2 and turned into an army of Jiang Shi.
Ching would later present them as gift to his grandson Tao Ren on his 9th birthday and had him cut them down to test his skills in preparations for the upcoming Shaman Fights. Private Shimamura Jōtarō was amongst 999 corpses.
