Captain Roll (キャプテンロール Kyaputen Rōru) is the Guardian Ghost of Savage Pan.
About[]
Captain Roll was a sailor, and the captain of at least two ships, who died when one of them sank many years ago whilst he was transporting a valuable family treasure. Afterward manifesting as a spirit, he waited patiently for one of his descendants to be able to see him.
One day, he found Savage Pan near his bed fighting between life-and-death; upon telling him explaining to the younger man their connection, Roll helped Pan survive his ordeal. Later on, after telling him of his tale, Pan decided to recover the sunken treasure that was inside that ship. However, Pan found he could not do it alone and lacked the money needed to get help. Fortunately, upon learning of the upcoming Shaman Fight, Pan decided to enter in the hopes of locating his lost family members and re-floating the ship to reclaim the treasure within.[1]

Attacks
- Anchor Throw: A technique first used against Tao Ren, Savage Pan throws his chained anchor at his opponents; however, the actual effectiveness of this attack is not known. This move is unnamed in the anime series.
Anime/Manga Difference[]
Roll only appears as an aura around Pan's medium in the manga. Due to changes in Pan's story in the 2001 anime series, Roll makes more of an appearance as well.
