Dainichi Nyorai (大日如来, Dainichi Nyorai), or simply Dainichi (ダイニチ, Dainichi), is the first Guardian Ghost of Sati Saigan. Because he was originally manifested through a statue of Senju Kannon, he took on the moniker Senju (センジュ, Senju).

In truth, he is one of the avatars of Lucifer.

About

Dainichi Spirit Ball Mode

Through cultural exchange, Lucifer came to be worshipped as a Buddha in Japan and his name was translated as "Dainichi Nyorai". After being banished from Big Heaven for his conflict with God, Lucifer split himself into many pieces and journeyed the world in order to investigate humanity and the myths about himself.

Dainichi incarnated through a wooden statue of Senju Kannon, to which Sati Saigan had been praying. At the time, three land speculators were demanding payment from her for staying in the temple, but she was unable to pay them. When she refused to sell the statue, they suggested that they sell her instead, but Sati unwittingly created an Over Soul with the statue. Dainichi then threatened to beat the men up with his many arms, which scared them away. Dainichi affectionately refers to Sati as "Sacchan".

Ahead of the Flower of Maize, Sati brought Dainichi to a meeting of Team YVS in Kyoto Tower since he was the final piece for the restoration of Lucifer. Over his journey, Dainichi had concluded that people could not be saved since doing so would lead to their unhappiness and dissatisfaction; however, because of his time with Sati, he came to believe that through love and trust, they should still save everyone. As such, he rebelled against Team YVS but was defeated by the Four Holy Beasts.

Description: Sati's first Over Soul, Senju is manifested through a wooden statue of Senju Kannon. As such, several additional golden arms spawn from his back, called "Senju Armor" (千手天衣（アーマー）, Senju Āmā).

Description: Despite Sati's dislike for violence, Dainichi's main form of combat involves his mighty punches. Dainichi is also capable of resurrecting the dead and sending souls to Hell.

Trivia

• His design is based on the character Senju from Hiroyuki Takei's first manga Butsu Zone. In that series, Senju is an emissary of Dainichi Nyorai.
