Kanta (かん太, Kanta) is a fictional character in the manga series of Shaman King. He is the spirit of a billboard painter.

Kanta is the spirit of a billboard painter who was abruptly killed when his ladder tipped over and landed onto the streets who was then hit by a truck.
After his disbelief being dead, his feelings went haywire and turned him into an angry earthbound spirit, haunting his place of death and knocking down his billboard onto unwary bypassers who can sense spirits. He was put to rest when Yoh allowed him to use his body to finish painting the billboard.

Anime/Manga Differences
Kanta is a manga only character, and does not appear in the anime. Although of this he reappered in the games.
