A large creature Mephistopheles resembles a mechanical insect. On its head is a blank human face and four scalped like horns, that come from the sides of its head. Its body consists of a torso with two long arms and attached to its back are a pair of wings

PersonalityEdit

An ancient King of Hell, Mephistopheles will grant people wishes as he did with Faust I, but will often find a loophole in the contracts and take their souls before they expect it.

Abilities and PowersEdit

Just like in ancient Folklore, Mephistopheles has the ability to grant people wishes, but at the cost of their souls.

HistoryEdit

PastEdit

He is first mentioned having met with Johann Faust I by Faust I's descendant Johann Faust VIII during his fight with Asakura Yoh. Faust I wanted to gain every bit of knowledge in the world, so he summoned Mephistopheles and made a deal with him. He would trade his immortal soul for his services. Seeing the Shaman Fights as an opportunity to reach his goal, Faust entered the Grand Shaman Fight and lost. After this Mephistopheles decided to make good on the deal and took Faust I's soul.

Shaman Fights Second RoundEdit

Cado Vs Mephistopheles

Cado Vs. Mephistopheles

When Saigan Sati and Team "Myooh" went to Hell to steal the remaining four of the Great Elemental Spirits, Cado faced Mephistopheles in order to retrieve the Spirit of Wind.

He was last seen facing Cado, in one of the deepest pits of hell, and having cut off most of his left arm.[1] The rest of the battle goes to be unseen, it is however known that Mephistopheles was eventually defeated as Chocolove McDonell would later acquire the Spirit of Wind from the Gandhara.[2]

Anime/Manga DifferenceEdit

He is never directly referred to in the anime series so he does not make an actual appearance.

TriviaEdit

  • Despite his position as a "King of Hell", he is actually a major demon under Satan in most Judeo-Christian beliefs.
