|First Appearance:||Chapter (manga), Episode (anime)|
He is a handsome Jiang Shi from the Later-Han Dynasty, whose corpse was turned into an Jiang Shi to serve and take care of Tao Ran. Unlike Kyo, Shu's personality is more aggressive and has great confidence in himself.
Before his death Shu was a handsome strategist of the region of Wu, during the Later-Han Dynasty. It was during this period that he became famous for his resourcefulness, but he could also play beautiful music.
Like so many other things about the Tao Family Shu was never seen in the anime, and also in the manga he is only a background character that is never mentioned or interacted with.
- Although being a Jiang Shi, Tao Yúan is apparantly jealous of both Shu and Kyo, even towards this day. However, as he does not view being jealous as manly, he doesn't talk about it.
