I wasn't a huge fan of Shaman King until recently, when I finally decided to read the entire manga (including Zero, Remix Tracks and Flowers), which is far superior compared to the anime. The storyline and character development are deep and touching, and you can really see the strong bonds being formed over the course of the history. Of course, nothing is perfect, Shaman King has its flaws, but nevertheless, it's one of the best series I've read.
